JOB DETAILS

42 bed Neonatal Intensive Care at 500+ bed Level 2 Trauma center.
Gulf Coast location, midway between Houston and Galveston. Located just minutes from Space Center Houston and Galveston‘s beaches.

REQUIREMENTS

CertificatioN: BLS, NRP

Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

- Safe medication administration including calculation of medications
- Administer medications and EMB using the 5 patient rights
- Appropriate handling of EMB
- Care of patients with NG/OG tubes
- Follow feeding orders and recommendations from OT/ST
- Care of patients of CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Nasal Cannula
- Care for patients with PIV’s, PICC’s, UAC/UVC
- Safely care for patients 22 weeks and above
- Understands use of all equipment in the NICU
- Promotes safe sleeping at 32-34 gestation

· Can demonstrate developmentally appropriate care when handling preterm infant

· Proficient in lab draws

· Knowledgeable in escalating patient concerns

· NAS scoring

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

STABLE

Experience with central lines UAC, UVC, broviacs , PICC, etc

Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
- Experience with ETT, Vent’s Jet’s, Cooling, Surgical patients
