Night Shift EPIC BLS- Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures
- Strokes, TBI, Craniotomies/cranioplasties, back surgeries, VP/LP shunts, seizures.
- Occasionally
- syncope, hyper/hypotension & vascular surgeries.
- Any special procedure done on the unit?
- Lumbar punctures & CT insertions
- Common Medications used on the unit?
- Anti-seizure medications, anti-psychotic medications, anti-hypertensive, DM.
- Start and end shift times
- 0700-1530, 1500-2330, 2300-0730
- Lunch ( ½ hr, 1 hr, 2 hr, etc.): 0.5 lunch
- Nurse Patient Ratio
- 1/7 or 8
- Is Vasoactive Drip Titration Required?
- No
- IV Insertion

- PICC/Central Line Management

- Only telemetry monitoring for stroke patients and only 24 hours. Will have remote tele capability.
